Hoi An 2022
Hoi An is a beautiful city in Vietnam, just south of Da Nang. The ancient town of Hoi an is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and it is an exceptionally well-preserved example of a South-East Asian trading port dating back to the 15th - 19th century.
We have donated 135 SaWa bags to different NGO's and families in Hoi An and the nearby rural villages.
This video is from Hearing and Beyond, an NGO for deaf or heard of hearing students founded by Mai McCann in 2008 and has 26 students and 6 teachers.
We have also donated SaWa bags to CHIA, Childern's Hope in Action, an Australian-registered Charity founded by the Australian woman, Robyn Morley in 2006.
CHIA's supports over 500 disadvantaged children and the charity focuses on health, disability, education and the recent founded WASH initiative: water, sanitation and housing.
We have also donated 73 SaWa bags to Song Foundation. Song Foundation will help to distribute a bag to each of the 73 rural families in the mountainous area two hours drive from Hoi An.
We have also donated SaWa bags to CEF, Children's Education Foundation an NGO that works to break the poverty cycle by helping girls from impoverished or marginalised communities complete school or receive further education or training, helping not just the young women, but also succeeding generations and their communities to have the possibility of a better life with more choice.
