Hue 2020 / 2021
Hue is located in the central region of Vietnam and is the former imperial capital.
In October 2020 central Vietnam was hit with several heavy storms and rainfalls flooding 136,000 houses and forcing 90,000 people to evacuate their homes. Worst hit was Hue province with more than 20,700 people having to be evacuated.

With the help from the NGO Blue Dragon and Women's Union, we donated 85 SaWa bags to the fishing village Le Thai Thien, Loc Tri commune in Hue.
The donation was mentioned in the local news paper and on Vietnamese TV.
Many thanks to the NGO Blue Dragon, Women's Union and the local Government for letting us donate SaWa bags to the many families affected by the flooding.
We look forward to visiting Hue again and to see the families and SaWa bags in use.
